Welcome to Empowered to Thrive Counseling. A supportive space where healing takes root and growth is nurtured with care. I offer compassionate, client-centered therapy to help adult and teen women navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and self-worth. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Welcome to Empowered to Thrive Counseling, we are based out of Chattanooga servicing TN and MI

I offer telehealth sessions for individuals, providing a safe, accessible, and confidential space for therapy from the comfort of your own home. Each session typically lasts around 50 minutes and is tailored to support your unique needs, goals, and pace.

While I work with a broad range of concerns, I specialize in helping individuals who are navigating:

Anxiety

Whether it’s a constant undercurrent of worry or overwhelming panic, I help you better understand anxiety, develop practical coping tools, and feel more in control of your life.

Trauma

Healing from trauma is a deeply personal and powerful journey. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed care to help you process the challenges you have encountered and move forward with greater peace and empowerment.

Self-Worth

Many people carry silent burdens of not feeling “good enough.” Together, we’ll work to strengthen your sense of self, reconnect with your inherent worth, and nurture your self-acceptance.

If you're ready to take the next step or have questions about how therapy might support you, I’d be honored to connect. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate this journey without support.

Life can bring a wide range of challenges, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate them. I work with adult and teen women on many different concerns, including:

  • life changes

    Life transitions and phase-of-life changes

Life is full of changes—whether it’s starting a new job, ending a relationship, becoming a parent, or entering a new stage of life.Therapy can offer support, clarity, and guidance as you adjust to these shifts and create a path that feels right for you.

    Grief and loss

Loss comes in many forms and affects each person differently. Whether you’re grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life change, I provide a supportive space to process your feelings and gently move toward healing.

  • depressed, different moods

    Depression and mood challenges

Feelings of sadness, emptiness, or disconnection can feel overwhelming and isolating.Therapy can help you uncover the root of these feelings and gently work toward renewed energy, meaning, and hope.

  • a lot going on, stressed

    Stress and overwhelm

Stress can show up in your mind, body, and relationships—leaving you feeling exhausted or on edge. Together, we’ll explore the sources of your stress and develop healthier ways to manage life’s demands while building confidence and control over your life.

  • significant other

    Relationship Difficulties

Whether with partners, family, friends, or coworkers, relationships can bring challenges such as conflict, people-pleasing, and emotional disconnection. Therapy can help you build healthier boundaries, communicate openly, and nurture relationships that feel supportive and fulfilling.

  • boundaries, respect

    Boundary setting and assertiveness

Honoring your limits and expressing your needs clearly can feel challenging—but it’s essential for healthy relationships and self-respect. Together, we’ll practice setting boundaries and communicating assertively, so you can feel more empowered in your relationships and decisions.

  • I would recommend Heather to anybody who needs a good, caring counselor. She always listened to me and made me feel so comfortable! She has given me great feedback during our sessions. Heather taught me some awesome tools that I still am able to use to this day when I need to. I've had many many counselors, none of which made an impact the way Heather did.

  • Best counselor I've ever had! I finally have a feeling of safety to be able to open up and actually work through my past trauma. I realize that the more than 20 years of damage can't be fixed overnight however in the short amount of time I've been seeing Heather Beck I already see many changes in my daily routines and attitude that I never even knew needed work and I feel so much happier! The burden that I carry is still there, but it is getting lighter after each session. I thank God for bringing Heather into my life every day!

  • I have been seeing Heather for 3 years now. It started out as weekly visits…When I moved 4 hours away Heather continued virtual sessions with me once a month as I had requested. It's nice to still have someone to process life with that can offer an open mind and an unbiased view point. Something that has always meant a lot to me during our sessions are the positivity cards. Something to end the session on a positive note everytime. I know that when there is something going on in my life even if it is not time for a session I can always reach out to Heather and we can set up a session. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing counselor.

  • I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support I’ve received from my counselor. When I first started, I was very opposed to the idea of counseling—skeptical, unsure, and hesitant about opening up. But now, I can’t imagine my life without it. From the very first session, Heather made me feel comfortable, heard, and understood. She created a safe space where I could be vulnerable, and her approach was both gentle and empowering. Over time, I began to see significant changes in myself, from gaining deeper self-awareness to learning coping strategies that have made a real difference in my day-to-day life. What I truly appreciate is her patience and dedication. She meets me exactly where I am, and there’s never any judgment—just compassion and guidance. She has a genuine gift for helping her clients find clarity and healing, and I’m forever grateful for the positive impact she’s had on my mental health. If you’re hesitant about counseling like I was, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try with Heather Beck. She’s been an invaluable part of my journey, and I have no doubt that she will be for you as well.
